Clearing an S9 error message

Hello all,
I have a ResMed S9 that went on the blink on me last night. I plugged it in and it came up w/ "Error: Settings reset to default values, please contact service provider". This message is displayed regardless if the SD card is in place or not. I figure its a "preboot" error and since it hasn't had a chance to access the SD card yet.

I searched the board looking for a simple button reset and no joy. The two button push for access into the clinician area does not work, as the machine never comes out past the initial error.

Is there a simple button sequence that I can restore my machine back to operational condition?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

The S9 auto escape is a basic and not data capable machine unlike the S9 elite or the autoset , it may be a faulty machine send it back to be replaced .give this a go see if it work and if it doesn,t work may be others have other suggestions :
unplug the power cord -wait few mins - insert plug back into electrical outlet - press start/stop button - check LCD screen .

Thanks Zonk!!! All the "known standard" troubleshooting efforts prove to be futile and I guess I'll have to call my tech guys on Monday. I don't know what happened, its been unplugged at home for three days (been traveling & very limited carry space); got home, plugged it back in before turning in and wham I get this message. It won't even go into a "get me home" mode like my UltraClassic is supposed to do if the check engine light comes on.

Thanks for the quick reply!!

Have had this happen twice in 6 months and required return to my provider to clear it. I am beginning to distrust the S9's durability.
